Samurai / Wolf / Eva Beginner Guide (Aden)
Beginner FAQ for Project Samurai / Wolf / Eva-style Aden servers: pets are optional traps, the 80–85 grind method, open-field vs special zone testing, gear and ranking basics, and how Samurai, Warg, and Eva-family mechanics differ from classic chronicles.
At a glance
- 1Pets are not worth funding for new accounts — invest in main character gear instead
- 2Before 85 the character is still in starter gear limbo — follow special quest chains to 90+
- 3Test every teleport hub camp with 20-minute reset XP/Adena samples
- 4Special hunting zones matter more than raw open-field level labels
- 5Samurai: katana mobility, ranged skills, strong leveling pace
- 6Warg: transform-dependent damage, fear AoE PvP, slower early farm
- 7Eva / Aden main: cheaper market, more class variety, no mandatory monthly pass
Pets: skip early investment
Pet systems exist and appear in reward tracks, but by the time a pet contributes meaningful DPS you could have upgraded main-character weapons, talismans, and books. Treat pet items from calendars as optional fluff unless already committed to a Bee Hive ranking push.
80 → 90 bridge
Combat power before ~85 is mostly quest and event gear. Follow the special quest chain toward 90. Avoid titled mobs during starter chains. Use Frintezza/Octavis parties when servers allow 80+ entries for spike progression.
- Measurement
- Menu → Reset → compare XP and Adena per 20 min
- Open field
- Rakshasa · Dragon Valley · Silent Valley · Giant's Cave entry
- Special zones
- See fast leveling guide for daily clocks
- Raids
- Join clan runs when minimum gear met

Project / Eva server basics
Project launches (Samurai, Wolf, Eva) reuse Aden systems with different boost economies — extra Alligator tickets from Abundance, Geran Seal weekly caps, and race/ranking pushes on fresh ladders. Core advice stays: clan early, daily missions, measured farming, meta or near-meta class for ranking.
Aden main remains the reference for accessible gearing and class diversity. Use the complete starter and fast leveling guides for systems detail; use this page when jumping into a Project season with Samurai or Warg.
Linked names open L2Playbook pages when that skill, item, class, NPC, or zone exists in the database. Values can change with patches — always double-check in-game.
