Live Homunculus Guide — Creation, Hours & Best Pets
How Homunculus works on Live: 24-hour creation, hourglasses, enhancement and evolution math, and which pet to run for Adena, XP, cooldown DPS, magic, and daggers.
At a glance
- 124-hour Creation has the best red odds — feed Vitality, SP, and ~1,000,000 HP during incubation
- 2Daily: up to 4 grey hourglasses (Adena shop + Chaos Ether) · enhance up to ~40 points/day with Strong Fish resets
- 3Do not evolve red→purple until you bank ~4,600 enhancement points (1,000 to evolve gate + 3,600 to re-max)
- 4Adena one-shots: Charon > Angel > Chuchu · CD phys skills: Ari · general DPS: Diavalnok · magic: Churing
- 5Pegasus is fine, not best — specialists beat the all-rounder for XP, Adena, or damage
System basics
- UI
- Settings → Homunculus → Creation / Management · Cradle of Time for hourglasses
- Tiers
- Grey (skip investing) · Green (early usable) · Red (real slot) · Purple/celestial (evolved red)
- Creation lock
- One incubation slot while the 24h egg runs
- Feed during Creation
- Vitality bars · SP · ~1,000,000 HP healed (self-heal, support heal, or AFK lifesteal spot)
- Activation
- Choose one pet in Management; links and buff spheres supply the real bonuses
- Account habit
- Check the timer once per day, claim the completed Creation, then immediately start the next 24-hour cycle
24-hour Creation routine
Creation is the stable source of new Homunculi and has better red odds than grinding grey hourglasses.
Creation feed checklist
| Feed | What to do | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| Vitality | Fill the requested Vitality feed bars while the egg incubates | Save normal Vitality refills for the Creation window instead of spending all of them before reset |
| SP | Deposit the requested SP from the character’s available pool | Keep an SP reserve; do not start an expensive skill-enchant session first |
| HP | Supply roughly 1,000,000 HP through healing | Self-heal, support healing, or steady lifesteal all work; it is cumulative, not one cast |
| Time | Allow the full 24-hour incubation | Start at a time you can revisit consistently so the slot does not sit idle |
| Claim | Open Creation and receive the result | Evaluate its tier and role before dismantling anything |
- Best cadence
- Start → feed during normal play → claim next day → restart immediately
- Red expectation
- A named red is rare; think in weeks and keep useful greens during the search
- Extra slots
- Convenience only — the core progression still comes from keeping the base slot running
- Do not stall
- An unstarted Creation loses a full day; an imperfect green costs nothing to keep as a temporary preset
How you get pets
Sources
| Source | Notes |
|---|---|
| 24h Creation | Best red odds · roughly ~1% per named red as an orientation number · keep the slot running |
| Grey hourglasses | Adena shop + Chaos Ether bottom tier ≈ 4/day · much worse red odds than Creation |
| Shining hourglasses | Optional accelerator if acquired in-game · removes grey outcomes but still does not replace Creation |
| Red-result hourglass | Rare accelerator · not part of the baseline plan and unnecessary for normal progression |
- Dismantle points
- Grey 1 · Green 15 · Red 500 (do not casually scrap reds)
- Grey supply
- Adena entry plus Chaos Ether entries produce roughly four ordinary rolls per day
- Keep
- One useful green per role until matching reds arrive · red evolution sacrifice reserve
- Never
- Dump enhancement points into greys or dismantle the only copy of a useful red
Daily hourglass and dismantle loop
What to do with each result
| Result | First copy | Duplicate |
|---|---|---|
| Grey | Inspect only; do not enhance | Dismantle for 1 point |
| Green specialist | Keep and use if it improves your current role | Keep a second role preset or dismantle for 15 |
| Green filler | Use only while the slot has nothing better | Dismantle for 15 |
| Red matching main build | Lock it and start the 600-point level plan | Reserve one for evolution before considering dismantle |
| Red off-build | Keep for alternate class, farm mode, or evolution material | Only surplus copies become 500 points |
| Purple | Build links again after the evolution reset | Treat as an end-stage preset, not dismantle income |
- Buy the Adena grey hourglass and use available Chaos Ether entries.
- Roll, compare the result against your saved presets, then dismantle only confirmed trash.
- Record red copies mentally as main, alternate, or sacrifice; this prevents a 500-point impulse dismantle from blocking evolution.
Enhancement & evolution math
- Daily base
- ~5 pts from 2,500 kills + ~5 pts from Vitality pot track
- With Strong Fish resets
- Up to ~40 pts/day (stock ~1,000 fish early)
- Red Lv.1→5
- ~600 pts
- Red to evolve gate
- ~1,000 pts total (Lv.5 + 100%)
- After purple
- Back to Lv.1, links wiped · ~3,600 pts to re-max · bank ~4,600 before evolving
- Evolve cost
- Red at gate + sacrifice another red + evolution points + Adena/Solaris materials
- Point safety
- Never spend the purple reserve on side pets after committing to an evolution target
Enhancement milestones
| Milestone | Running points | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Useful green online | Small early spend only | Stop as soon as it performs its temporary job |
| Red Lv.5 | ~600 | Use this as the practical first finish line |
| Red evolution-ready | ~1,000 total | Do not press evolve yet unless the post-reset reserve is ready |
| Purple recovery reserve | ~3,600 additional | Restores the evolved pet after it returns to Lv.1 |
| Safe bank before evolve | ~4,600 | Covers the gate and rebuild without weeks of regression |
Best pets by job
Role table
| Pet | Job |
|---|---|
| Chuchu | Best XP · Vitality restore trigger · solid Adena |
| Charon | Best Adena when you already one-shot |
| Angel | Adena #2 + skill CD · purple adds crit rate |
| Ari | Best CD + skill power + attribute blend |
| Diavalnok | Best general DPS (daggers/summoners love it) |
| Tana | Auto-attack when you still need attribute |
| Churing | Magic DPS with attribute |
| Cow | PvP received-damage tankiness |
| Pegasus | Okay all-rounder — specialists usually win |
| FoFo / Bee | Luck / Honor niche |
| Eye / Pala / Nymph | Skip or last resort |
- Adena ladder
- Charon > Angel > Chuchu > Pegasus
- Auto DPS
- Need attr: Tana > Diavalnok > Ari · No attr: Diavalnok > Tana
- Daggers
- Diavalnok first · keep a CD pet for shot farms
- Phys skills
- Ari if limits matter · Diavalnok if they do not
- Mages
- Churing (raw) or Ari (balanced/CD) · Summoner wants Diavalnok/Churing
- PvP survival
- Cow when received-damage reduction changes survival; otherwise use the matching offense pet
- Farm utility
- XP: Chuchu · Adena: Charon · balanced utility: Angel/Pegasus
Picks by damage type
Main preset ladders
| Build | First choice | Second choice | Use when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal physical attack | Tana | Diavalnok | Tana while attribute is short; Diavalnok once attribute is fully covered |
| Physical skillcaster | Ari | Diavalnok | Ari when cooldown controls limit uptime; Diavalnok for raw damage with cooldown solved |
| Dagger / Perfect | Diavalnok | Ari | Diavalnok for the direct damage package; Ari for cooldown-sensitive shot rotations |
| Magic skill DPS | Churing | Ari | Churing while magic damage plus attribute is best; Ari for cooldown and balanced power |
| Summoner | Diavalnok | Churing | Choose raw general damage or the magic/attribute package after checking pet behavior |
| Adena one-shot | Charon | Angel | Damage is already sufficient and currency per hour is the goal |
| XP progression | Chuchu | Pegasus | Level speed and Vitality value matter more than immediate loot |
| PvP durability | Cow | Damage-type pet | Cow only when its mitigation prevents deaths or extends pressure |
Links, presets, and dead UI
- Real power
- Homunculus links and buff spheres shown in Management
- Dead presentation
- Preparation weapon/shield imagery and old preview elements that do not change the live build
- After evolution
- Purple returns to Lv.1 and links are cleared; rebuild and verify every active line
- Preset logic
- Keep separate damage, Adena, XP, and PvP candidates instead of forcing one pet into every job
- Verification
- Activate the pet, close the panel, and compare the relevant character stats before and after
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Why it hurts | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Enhancing a grey | Points are scarce and the base is disposable | Use it unenhanced or dismantle |
| Evolving at 1,000 points | The purple resets and becomes weaker immediately | Bank about 4,600 first |
| Scrapping every red duplicate | Evolution needs a red sacrifice | Reserve one candidate |
| Picking Pegasus by default | General utility loses to specialists | Match the preset to the farm objective |
| Ignoring links after evolve | The main bonuses were wiped | Rebuild and verify Management lines |
Account ladder
- Useful green → enhance it now
- Daily greys + Strong Fish enhancement farm
- First matching red → 600 pts
- Second red for CD or Adena swap
- Bank 4,600+ → purple evolve
- Rebuild purple links immediately → verify stats → resume role presets
Worked account plans
The correct plan depends on what the account lacks today. These examples use the same daily sources but spend points differently. They are templates: replace the named pet when another specialist matches the character’s actual damage type or farming objective.
Four practical starting positions
| Account state | Immediate action | Point plan | Next decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| No useful pet | Activate the best green that matches the main damage family | Spend little or nothing beyond what makes the temporary preset usable | Keep 24-hour Creation running until a matching red appears |
| Useful green, no red | Use the green for normal farm and process grey hourglasses daily | Dismantle confirmed trash and preserve the growing bank | Do not chase a purple plan before owning a real red target |
| First matching red | Lock and activate it, then verify links against the character sheet | Build toward roughly 600 points for red Lv.5 | Retest it against the old green and choose a second-role target |
| Red at Lv.5 | Keep farming with the strong red | Continue from about 600 toward the ~4,600 safe evolution bank | Reserve another red as sacrifice and do not evolve early |
| Evolution-ready red but only 1,200 points banked | Do not press evolve | Save the missing rebuild reserve | Evolve only when the reset can be repaired without weeks of weak performance |
| Purple just created | Rebuild links immediately and confirm every active sphere | Use the reserved ~3,600 rebuild points deliberately | Compare the restored purple with role-specific alternate reds |
Worked timing example: an account completes the full ~40-point active ceiling every day. Saving 4,600 points would still take about 115 days from zero. At a more realistic 20 points on average, it takes about 230 days. Existing points, dismantled duplicates and partial days change the calendar, but the example shows why evolving at the first 1,000-point gate creates a long regression.
Daily, weekly, and evolution checklists
Daily routine
| Order | Action | Failure prevented |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open Creation, claim a finished result, and restart the 24-hour timer | Lost incubation days |
| 2 | Check the Vitality, SP and HP feed counters | A completed timer with unfinished feed requirements |
| 3 | Use the Adena and available Chaos Ether grey-hourglass entries | Missed repeatable rolls |
| 4 | Classify every result as active, alternate, sacrifice, or dismantle | Scrapping a needed role or evolution red |
| 5 | Complete the base kill and Vitality enhancement tracks | Leaving easy points unclaimed |
| 6 | Use Strong Fish resets only when time permits the repeated tracks | Spending reset resources without completing the work |
| 7 | Confirm the intended Homunculus and links are active before farming | Running a blank or wrong-role preset |
- Before evolving
- Target red at Lv.5 and 100%, about 4,600 points banked, sacrifice red reserved, required Adena/Solaris materials ready
- Immediately after
- Reactivate the purple, rebuild links, verify buff spheres and compare the character sheet
- First field test
- Use the same target, buffs, duration and consumables as the red baseline
- If weaker
- Check missing links and incomplete rebuild before blaming the pet choice
- Point protection
- Do not improve side greens or alternate reds from the committed purple reserve
- Stop condition
- Delay evolution whenever the post-reset build cannot perform the account’s normal farm
Pet selection decision tree
Follow the first goal that applies
| Question | If yes | If no |
|---|---|---|
| Is the objective XP rather than loot or damage? | Start with Chuchu and measure XP per hour | Continue to the damage or Adena questions |
| Does the character already one-shot the farm reliably? | Use Charon for Adena; compare Angel when cooldown also matters | Use a damage-family pet until one-shot consistency is solved |
| Is the build limited by physical skill cooldown? | Test Ari | Test Diavalnok for general physical damage |
| Is it a normal-attack build still short on attribute? | Use Tana | Retest Diavalnok once attribute is covered |
| Is it a magic build still benefiting from attribute? | Use Churing | Compare Ari for cooldown and balanced skill power |
| Does Cow’s mitigation prevent a PvP death or extend pressure? | Keep Cow for that matchup | Use the matching offensive preset |
| Is only Pegasus available? | Use it as a temporary all-rounder | Choose the specialist that matches the measured goal |
