Window Support Starter Guide (Live)

Build a reliable three-window support core for Live: Iss Apostle and Spectral Dancer on buff duty, Cardinal for heal and cleanse, cocktails on the main for overlapping songs, CDR stacking on supports, and enhanced rune stones for top buffs.

At a glance

  1. 1Iss Apostle + Spectral Dancer is the common PvE pair; Cardinal covers heal and fast cleanse
  2. 2Prophecy of Might and Storm Song compete with Overlord and Warcry—Apostle wins group PvE
  3. 3Move Harmony, Fantasy, Fever, Sedation and Rhapsody to cocktails on the main where convenient
  4. 4Redemption of Power at 110 needs two Enhanced Rune Stones on Apostle
  5. 5Inspiration Song at 110 on Spectral Dancer stacks with Redemption on Apostle
  6. 6Supports need CDR gear too—not only the farmer

Three-window core

Run the farmer on the main client with Iss Apostle and Spectral Dancer as buff windows. Add Cardinal when Tower of Insolence, long sessions, or sustain issues demand a dedicated healer. All three should reach 105 for certification runes, then 110 for enhanced-stone skills.

Role split

WindowClassPrimary job
1Main farmerDamage, positioning, loot
2Iss ApostleProphecy of Might, Rhapsody, Redemption of Power
3Spectral DancerStorm Song, party songs, Inspiration Song
Optional 4CardinalHeal, res, Unified Resistance, cleanse

Iss Apostle buffs

Prophecy of Might applies to the whole party—this is the rework reason Apostle replaces Prophet for group play. Cast Prophecy of Might and Rhapsody from the Apostle; overlap timing with Spectral Dancer so both Rhapsodies cycle rather than overwrite.

Prophecy of Might
Group buff; learned with ordinary rune stones
Rhapsody
Heal over time; stack cadence with Spectral Dancer
Redemption of Power
110 skill; two Enhanced Rune Stones; stacks with Inspiration Song
Redemption note
Overlaps Overlord/Warcry style buffs but combines with Sword Muse/Spectral lines
Off-duty value
Apostle can assist pull and survive longer than legacy PP

Spectral Dancer songs

Storm Song is the early pick with ordinary rune stones and competes with Phantom Dancer's similar song. At 110, Inspiration Song (two Enhanced Rune Stones) pairs with Apostle's Redemption of Power.

Spectral Dancer can still cast base songs (Harmony, Fantasy, Fever, Sedation, Rhapsody) but many players move those to cocktails on the main to simplify rebuffs.

Cardinal healer

Cardinal brings the strongest heal throughput among Elves and a debuff cleanse that cycles faster than Prophet-style cleanses—useful in Tower of Insolence and open field PvP.

Elemental Resistance
Early party resist; ordinary rune stones
Unified Resistance
110; one Enhanced Rune Stone; large single-target boost
Resurrection
Full XP recovery res
Hands of Angel
Party debuff shield—Apostle and Spectral Dancer also have it

Cocktails, CDR and stones

Buff cocktails on the main replace Harmony of Body, Fantasy, Fever, Sedation and related song maintenance. Keep live supports for Prophecy, Rhapsody cadence, Storm Song and healer duties.

FAQ

Spectral Dancer or Sword Muse for PvE only?+

Spectral Dancer is enough for PvE. Sword Muse adds weapon-block songs valuable in PvP; pick Spectral Dancer unless you expect regular PvP.

Why cocktails on the main?+

They replace four Iss songs on the support bar, free rebuff time, and cover gaps if a support window is dead or rebuffing.

Do supports need Enhanced Rune Stones?+

For top buffs yes: Redemption of Power on Apostle and Inspiration Song on Spectral Dancer at 110. Budget one stone from events first, buy the second later.

Which healer?+

Cardinal for strongest heal, faster debuff removal than Shillien Elder, and Unified Resistance at 110 for one Enhanced Rune Stone.
