Samurai vs Warg — Equal Gear Farm Test (2026)

Controlled Live comparison: same ~1 trillion Adena gear set and level 115 on 'Warg' and 'Samurai' with no brooch gems except one Warg toggle — 10-minute farm resets on Museum, Rift 115, Tower of Insolence 116, Suppression, Shadow Camp, and session dungeons. Focus is measured Adena/XP and spot access, not armor passives or rune book priorities.

At a glance

  1. 1Test budget ~1T Adena · Lv.115 · identical jewelry, talismans, dyes, collections
  2. 2No brooch gems on either class except one 16-stone Warg rune toggle
  3. 3Warg wins: Rift 115 solo melee, safer low-gear survival, identical Museum respawn cap
  4. 4Samurai wins: Suppression party potential, Shadow Camp 112, faster Shadow Camp dungeon
  5. 5ToI 116: similar Adena on test gear — Samurai pulls ahead after Signet + enhanced stones
  6. 6Libra reroll ~8B gear swap + 150M weapon exchange — wait until Lv.120 Signet plan ready

Test method

One account, Libra event class change, identical gear except weapon profile (fists → katana) and armor weight swap (heavy → light).

CollectionsMinimal — mostly golden sphere closures

Each spot: full buff, 10-minute reset, record Adena and XP. Warg tested first; Samurai tested immediately after Libra reroll with hot character (no cooldown re-optimization).

Starter path (Lv.1–102)

Quest chain through Plains 1,000-mob hunt and reward gear — both classes reach Lv.102 farm spots with mentee/cocktail buffs without issue.

Before

After

Museum (Lv.115)

Respawn-limited zone — too many damage buffs in the zone cap throughput. All classes perform similarly; test showed no meaningful Warg vs Samurai split.

Rift 115 solo

Warg
Stands solo on single-target rotation through 115 Rift
Samurai
Same gear struggles with received damage when freshly rerolled
AoE toggle
Neither class holds 115 Rift on mass skills at this budget — level penalty + low brooch
Winner
Warg for solo Rift farming at ~1T

Warg's defense passive is the difference — not raw DPS. Samurai can catch up with more P. Def on belt/cloak swaps after reroll.

Tower of Insolence 116

Cross-server ToI 116 (10 min reset)

ClassResult
WargStable solo · best Adena/hour in test set · optional Iss for debuff strip + PoMa
Samurai (hot reroll)~Same Adena total · occasional deaths · needs IL swap tuning
Samurai (Signet Lv.3 + ~63% CD)Not tested here — expected clear winner for pack density

At equal mid gear, ToI Adena is a tie. Samurai wins the spot after enhanced rune investment — Warg does not scale with Signet AoE.

Suppression (party)

Party spot access

Before

Warg: melee range · chases mobs off spot · no party slot · cannot vamp in zone

After

Samurai: ranged skills · stable party DPS · top-tier potential with enhanced stones

Warg cannot function as Suppression DPS — too much movement, wrong range profile. Samurai is irrelevant at 1T without stones but has a path to top DPS; Warg has no comparable upgrade line.

Shadow Camp & neutral zones

Lv.112 neutral zone
Samurai comfortable solo after reroll · Warg also fine
King Serpent Cemetery 124

Session dungeons Lv.105

Shadow Camp dungeon
Samurai clears packs in fewer clicks · noticeably faster

When to Libra reroll

Reroll economics

CostValue
Libra class changeFree (one quest stone)
Weapon exchange (casters → blade)~150M Adena in Giran
Armor weight swap (Libra event)~8B Adena for full set conversion
Enhanced rune stones (Signet path)Four stones — separate long farm
Skill books after rerollNormal + enhanced stone sets to re-buy

Reroll now if you prefer the model and accept paying conversion without immediate Signet power. Wait if you are below Lv.120 and cannot fund enhanced stones — two classes are equal until Signet Lv.3 unlocks.

Comparison checklist

  • Match gear value before comparing — GS alone lies.
  • Run 10-minute resets on YOUR spots, not streamer camps.
  • Warg: optimize Rift solo and boss instances first.
  • Samurai: plan Signet + enhanced stones before Libra if possible.

FAQ

How is this different from the Warg armor/skills guide?+

That guide explains Heavy Armor Mastery, rune book order, and relic profiles. This guide is equal-gear farm benchmarks — same Adena invested, same spots, timed Adena/XP resets only.

Who wins at equal ~1T gear?+

Roughly equal on many solo spots until Samurai hits Lv.120 Signet Lv.3 (~63% cooldown). Warg leads early comfort and Rift solo; Samurai leads Suppression and ranged party content.

Should I Libra reroll my Warg now?+

If below Lv.120 without four enhanced rune stones for Signet, staying Warg is fine. Reroll when you can afford gear swap (~8B) plus Signet books — otherwise you pay conversion cost without unlocking Samurai's ceiling.

Can Warg farm Suppression?+

Poorly. Melee range and party role mismatch — Samurai's reach wins. Warg can be a flower-picker at best, not a DPS slot.

Start new account — which class?+

Both clear Lv.102 plains quest chain easily. Warg has slightly more defense on starter gear; Samurai needs safer spot choice. Pick by endgame spot plan, not day-one quest speed.
